Homemade fruit popsicles
Homemade fruit popsicles are a perfect treat for the summer, especially when you make them with your children. This refreshing recipe is not only healthy but also fun to create. With just a few ingredients and popsicle molds, you can quickly make your own popsicles with your favorite fruit combinations.
Ingredients:
- Fresh fruit of your choice (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, mango, or pineapple)
- Yogurt or coconut milk
- Honey or agave syrup (optional)
- Popsicle molds
- Blender or immersion blender
Instructions:
- Wash the fruit and cut it into small pieces, ensuring that all seeds and stems are removed. If using frozen fruit, let it thaw for a few minutes before blending.
- Blend the fruit in a blender or puree it with an immersion blender until it forms a smooth puree. Finally, add a little water. The amount of water added during blending depends on the texture of the fruit. If the fruit is very juicy, you may not need any extra water. If the fruit is drier, add a small splash of water to facilitate the blending process. Start with a small amount, such as a tablespoon, and add more if needed until the desired texture is achieved. Remember that too much water can result in less creamy popsicles.
- Optionally, add a tablespoon of honey or agave syrup to the puree if you want to make it sweeter. This step is optional, so you can skip it if desired.
- Pour the yogurt or coconut milk into a bowl and add the puree. Stir well until the mixture is fully combined. The ratio between yogurt/coconut milk and fruit puree depends on your preference. If you want creamier popsicles, add more yogurt/coconut milk. If you want to taste more fruit, add less yogurt/coconut milk.
- Divide the mixture into the popsicle molds and place them in the freezer for at least 4 hours or until completely frozen. If you don’t have popsicle molds, you can use small plastic cups covered with aluminum foil. Insert a wooden stick in the center and place them in the freezer.
- Remove the popsicles from the freezer and let them thaw for a few minutes before removing them from the molds. If you have trouble taking them out, you can even hold the molds under warm water. Enjoy your treat!
