Fall asleep in no time with these tricks!
Being unable to sleep can be quite annoying. Especially when you have to get up early the next day or when you go to bed early but can’t fall asleep. A good night’s sleep is important for your health. Fortunately, there are some handy tricks you can use to fall asleep faster, instead of lying awake and worrying about not being able to sleep.
The 4-7-8 trick:
- Place your tongue against your front teeth.
- Inhale through your nose and count to 4.
- Try to hold your breath for 7 seconds.
- With your tongue still against your teeth, exhale through your mouth with a sighing sound and count to 8.
- Repeat this about 4 times.
You will notice that your lungs are fully filled with oxygen, and you will feel very relaxed.
Blinking:
Sometimes, your eyes just won’t get tired, but fortunately, there’s a handy trick for that. Try to relax your entire body. Then blink as often and as long as possible. You’ll find that your eyes naturally get tired and want to stay closed! This makes it easy for you to fall asleep.
Make a cup of tea:
Not literally. Try to mentally go through every step you take while making tea (or possibly coffee). Including picking up the cups, etc. You really have to imagine it. You’ll notice that this gives your thoughts a bit more rest, and you don’t have to worry. Repeat this in your mind, and you’ll fall asleep easily.
Counting sheep:
Maybe you tell your children to do this, but it might work for you too! Just mindlessly counting makes you naturally tired.
